Real community members, real stories

We know that it can be hard to reach out for help. The Eleanor experience is best described in our community members' own words. Hear from Steve, Krista, Alicia, Cindy, and Isaac about their recovery journey at Eleanor Health.

Breaking the addiction cycle and becoming a father

Steven started his journey with Eleanor Health in June of 2021 and has abstained from using opioids for over a year. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication he has put into his treatment as he continues to succeed in his career, develop strong relationships with his family members, and recently became a father for the first time. Steven has connected with so many members of the Eleanor Team who have been inspired by his story and resilient nature every time he checks in to let us know how he’s doing.

"So I believe that everyone has their own path to take to get clean. After 15 years of this vicious, deadly cycle, I finally had enough. I never thought I would be able to get clean nor even STAY clean, but thanks to the services I receive with Eleanor, that’s my reality today."

Working trauma and concerns about drinking as a coping mechanism

"My greatest achievement this year has been keeping the promise to myself that I would remain sober during the week. What that has done for my mental acuity, what that has done for my ability to be present when I'm at home, and what that has done for my resilience and ability to cope has been life-changing. That's the biggest thing that I'm proud of."

Admitting there's a problem

"Eleanor has given me a second chance to live a life beyond what I thought I ever deserved. I have done some really awful things during my active addiction. Eleanor has taught me that those things do not define who I am. They have helped me find the strength to fight my addiction each and every day which has enabled my life to become deeply fulfilling."

Conquering opioid addiction after surgery

"My greatest joy is actually being able to finally look myself in the mirror and say, 'Good job.' All this time, I never patted myself on the back or thought I was doing good. I can now look in the mirror, smile and say, 'You're not such a bad person.'"

Overcoming long-term substance use & re-connecting with family

"My family and I are reconciling. My ex-wife and I routinely see one other and she has no problem with me having my children on the weekend. And I was over there for Thanksgiving, and we had a wonderful time. Things are getting better, and I'm hopeful."

our commitment to you

Connect on an individual level

We put our community members at the center of everything we do. When you’re an Eleanor Health member, your best interests always come first. We start by learning more about your day-to-day life, preferences, specific needs, and goals. Our comprehensive, extensive approach takes every aspect of your life into account, from your physical health and mental wellbeing to your life’s priorities.

Eleanor is somewhere you can go and not have to worry about getting it right the first time, or getting clean all in one day, or be nervous about getting thrown out. If you do accidentally slip up or relapse, I don’t have to worry about getting kicked out. It reduces the stress and anxiety, and I think it will be something really positive for the world.
