Co-occurring mental health conditions, also known as dual diagnosis, happen when someone experiences both a substance use disorder and mental health challenges at the same time. Research suggests that more than 40% of people with a substance use disorder also have a co-occurring disorder. Common examples include:

In the event you would like to file a grievance/appeal, you will be able to receive the appropriate form from an Eleanor Health staff person. The regional operations manager will investigate the grievance and attempt to resolve it within 3 days of form submission. If it cannot be resolved, the Quality Team will review the grievance/appeal. If the Quality Team is unable to resolve the concern, the grievance/appeal will be escalated for additional support. You will receive a written response explaining the decision.
