how we help
Medication-assisted treatment
If you may benefit from medication, we will collaborate with you to incorporate MAT into your holistic treatment plan in a safe, effective way. It is our goal to ensure that you are well-informed and supported so that you can feel focused, confident, and healthy throughout your treatment and recovery process.

overview
Benefits of medication-assisted treatment
Medical studies show that using medications in combination with therapy contributes to better outcomes and increases the likelihood of a successful, long-term recovery. Research studies show that MAT may reduce risk of death from overdose by as much as 60% in a year. When used properly, MAT is proven to be a highly-effective treatment component for substance misuse related to alcohol, opioids, and tobacco.

Medication-assisted treatment at Eleanor
As part of our comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plan, Eleanor Health’s MAT program includes the use of FDA-approved medications with behavioral therapy and counseling. By combining medication and therapy, MAT treats both the physical and mental symptoms of addiction at the same time. Under the supervision of our physicians, our medical team will prescribe medications that safely block the effects of drugs and alcohol on the brain and body. This helps to eliminate or reduce your substance cravings and ease physical withdrawal symptoms. All of these medications share the same goal: to help you manage your addiction, adjust to treatment, and feel stable. Our physicians will work with you to review the benefits and risks of each option so we can find the right medication for your specific needs.
Care that works for you
All medication-assisted treatment services can be delivered in-person at one of our many locations or virtually from the comfort of your own home.
Effectiveness of medication-assisted treatment
When used properly, medications can help increase the effectiveness of your other treatment components, like therapy and recovery support, and triple your likelihood of sustaining long-term recovery. MAT is clinically proven to help prevent relapses and fatal overdoses and can help you to:- Stay active in treatment
- Reduce your substance use
- Find a job and stay employed
- Keep up with family responsibilities
- Improve the overall quality of your life

I'm happy to say that since I have been with Eleanor, I have successfully not had one relapse.
