Las Vegas – July 30, 2026

Eleanor Health, a leading provider of evidence-based, whole-person care for substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions, announces its expansion into Nevada. The launch is the latest step in Eleanor’s continued growth across the country, bringing accessible, stigma-free virtual treatment to a state where care has long been hard to reach.

Eleanor’s virtual outpatient program combines Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT), nursing and medical support, and group follow-up care through its GOBAT (Group Office-Based Addiction Treatment) model, built for adults managing opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, or stimulant use disorder. Every part of care happens from home, removing common barriers like transportation, time off work, or distance from a clinic, especially significant in a state where many residents live far from Las Vegas or Reno.

A State With Real Need

Nevada is one of only two states where overdose deaths rose in 2024, even as deaths fell nearly 27% nationwide. May 14, 2025. | Definition: provisional 12-month drug overdose death counts, all drug types, by state of occurrence, compared year-over-year | Period: 2024 vs. 2023.)

Nevada’s rate of substance use disorder has also outpaced the country’s for years. Past-year SUD prevalence in Nevada was measured at 9.5%, compared to a 7.4% national average. (Source: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Behavioral Health Barometer: Nevada, Volume 6. HHS Publication No. SMA-20-Baro-19-NV. Rockville, MD, 2020 | Definition: past-year substance use disorder, DSM-5 criteria, ages 12 and older | Period: 2019 NSDUH survey data. Note: I found this figure through a secondary document citing the SAMHSA barometer, not by opening the primary PDF myself, since samhsa.gov isn’t in my current network allowlist. It’s also six years old. Worth a quick primary-source check before publish, but not a blocker if time is short.)

Nationally, more than 8 in 10 people with substance use disorder do not receive care in any given year. (Source: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. National Survey on Drug Use and Health 2023. 2023. | Definition: adults meeting SUD criteria who did not receive treatment in the past year | Period: 2023 survey data.)

Built for the Way People Actually Live

This expansion means more Nevadans, including those in Henderson, Sparks, Carson City, and rural communities without a nearby clinic, can start treatment from a phone, tablet, or computer. Nevada joins Eleanor’s growing footprint of states offering virtual substance use disorder care.

Eleanor Health accepts most major insurance plans in Nevada, including Medicaid, and verifies coverage before a member’s first appointment at no cost.
