Meet the Eleanor Health Worcester, MA Clinical Team!
March 22, 2021
My name is Brookeita Payne and I’ve joined Eleanor Health as the Clinic Operations Manager in Worcester, MA. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have had the pleasure of working in the field of Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder for several years. It has been a privilege to work in various clinical settings and in various roles from case management to clinician to clinical supervisor. Over the years I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and collaborated with many community organizations.
I’m excited to be a part of a team providing whole-person care and meeting our community members where they are at. If there is one thing I have learned throughout my years of experience, it is that tough times don’t last, tough people do! I take pride in being able to participate in the recovery journey of our community members and will do my part to provide the best service for our members and Eleanor Health team. When I am not serving our community, my time and attention are best spent focusing on my daughter and helping her grow as a young entrepreneur.
I’m excited to introduce you to the rest of our Eleanor Health Worcester clinical care team!
Kimberly Roberts-Schulteis, MD
Misty Hinkle, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Hello, my name is Misty Hinkle, APRN, PMHNP-BC and I am joining the Lowell, MA location as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, working through the telehealth platform. While working in the hospital, as a Registered Nurse and continuing my education, I began to look around and realized those with Mental Health Disorders and Substance Use Disorders were treated differently than those with Medical Disorders and I found that unacceptable and began to develop compassion, empathy, understanding, and a true passion for that population. When providing care for others, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and finding mom and pop places to eat. I am excited to join the Eleanor team and promote their vision of holistic and compassionate care for those with Substance Use Disorders.
Linda Kinch, MD
My name is Linda Kinch and I am a board-certified internist working in the Addiction Medicine field since 2014. I have a deep personal understanding of the painstaking road to recovery as well as the amazing gifts of this process. I am thrilled to be working at Eleanor Health because the culture here aligns so well with my own beliefs. We strive for compassion in treating our amazing community members and excellence in up to date and evidence based medical care.
Joy O’Brien, MSN, FNP-BC
I am a family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) with over a decade of experience in family medicine/primary care that began to include a growing number of patients struggling with addiction. In an effort to better serve them, I sought out opportunities to learn the best ways to meet the needs of my patients, their families, and communities. I am currently in school for a psychiatric certification but have spent the last two years working in psychiatric settings. For fun, I love hiking in the woods, mountain biking, sailing, reading, and quilting. I’m so happy to be here at Eleanor!
Kelly Field, RN
My name is Kelly Field and I have joined the Eleanor Health team at the Worcester clinic. I have worked in several roles such as Floor Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Nursing Supervisor for inpatient detox, inpatient CSS, outpatient methadone clinic, and inpatient residential levels of care in both the state-funded and private insurance sectors. I made the decision to join Eleanor’s team to expand and build on my knowledge of substance use disorder and to continue to help those in need. I am excited to be a part of Eleanor and their mission to help our members live amazing lives! Outside of my professional life, I am kept busy with my 2 little ones and all their extracurriculars!
Tammy Harbin, BSN, RN

Paola Penn, LDAC I, Clinic Administrator
My name is Paola Penn and I am a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LDAC I). I recently joined Eleanor Health as a therapist after practicing substance use and mental health treatment for over 8 years. During this time, I have specialized my training on treating anxiety and depression-related disorders, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders in combination with substance use disorders with great emphasis on cultural competency and responsiveness. Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Harm Reduction are some of the approaches that influence my personality and my therapy work. Understanding and addressing our member’s needs is a priority of my role and it is fundamental in developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship with each member. I have a great sense of justice and an innate need to act on behalf of people that face injustice, which has a positive impact on my abilities to advocate for members as needed. Also, I am a firm believer that people are doing the best that they can and at times we all need guidance and support to live better lives. Another role I serve is as a mother of two children, I put effort into understanding their needs and keeping a good balance between my professional and personal life.
Salem Black, MS, MSW, LICSW
Salem Black, MS, MSW, LICSW obtained a Master’s of Social Work from the Catholic University of America, with a clinical focus. With this lens, he worked as a therapist in psychiatric hospitals, working with individuals with dual diagnoses. Salem gained expertise in best practices for working individuals who have to engage in the complex systems in which individuals participate. Following his relocation to the Boston area, he has used this knowledge and experience, continuing in the high acuity world of inpatient psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital and working in the outpatient setting. Salem brings this foundation of knowledge to Eleanor Health , applying a strength based approach and empirically based modalities to his work. He hopes to support people during a difficult time of transition, identity exploration and the ever growing complexities that are introduced daily.
