Honoring Veterans: Our Commitment to Care Beyond Service

This Veterans Day, we pause to honor those who have served – and to reaffirm our commitment to caring for them long after their service ends. At Eleanor Health, we are proud to serve veterans through the VA Community Care Network (CCN), providing compassionate, evidence-based treatment for substance use, PTSD, depression, and other co-occurring conditions.

We know that the challenges veterans face don’t end when they return home. Many carry invisible wounds – memories of trauma, chronic pain, sleep problems, or the weight of loss – that can make daily life feel like another battle. For some, alcohol or other substances become a way to cope. Others struggle in silence, believing they should be strong enough to handle it alone. At Eleanor Health, we want every veteran to know: asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Our care model was built to meet veterans where they are – physically and emotionally. Whether through secure telehealth visits available nationwide or in-person appointments at Eleanor Health clinics in select states, we make sure high-quality, trauma-informed care is never out of reach. We work hand-in-hand with VA hospitals and care coordinators to make the referral process simple and fast, with same-day and next-day appointments and 24-hour callback times. When a veteran reaches out, we make sure someone is there to respond right away.

Every member receives a personalized treatment plan that addresses the full picture of health – mind, body, and community. Our providers specialize in medication for addiction treatment (MAT), therapy with a deep understanding of military and veteran culture, and psychiatry focused on managing PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions that so often accompany substance use. Veterans also have access to peer support and health coaching, often from other veterans who have walked a similar path.

This whole-person approach works. Among Eleanor Health’s veteran members, 75% experience improved depression scores, 72% report reduced anxiety, and 82% report decreased cravings. Our teams track outcomes in line with VA and CCN quality measures to ensure every veteran receives care that’s not only compassionate but also clinically effective.

We also recognize that the veteran community is diverse – and so are the needs within it. We’re proud to provide inclusive, culturally competent care for all who served, including women veterans and LGBTQ+ veterans, ensuring that every individual feels safe, understood, and supported.

At Eleanor Health, we believe recovery is about building a life that feels worth living. For veterans, that may mean rediscovering purpose, rebuilding relationships, or finding peace after years of internal struggle. Whatever that next chapter looks like, we’re here to walk beside you – one day, one conversation, and one victory at a time.

This Veterans Day, we thank all who have served – and we stand ready to serve you in return.
