Will my insurance cover my appointment?
Eleanor works with most major insurance plans. If you want to check your coverage ahead of time, just reach out and we’ll look into it with you.
What will this cost me out of pocket?
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your specific insurance plan. If you’re curious about exact costs and coverage, you can always call your insurance company directly. If you’re not sure what to ask or just want a general sense of where to start, we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.
If cost is a concern, please tell us. We want to help you find a path forward.
Will my employer find out I’m getting treatment?
Your care is private and protected by federal law. We cannot share your information with your employer, family members, or anyone else without your written permission.
Is my information kept confidential from my family?
We will not share your information with family members or anyone else without your permission. Your care is yours. You decide who knows about it.
Will I be prescribed medication at my first appointment?
It depends on who you meet with at your first visit.
If you meet with a medical provider or clinician, they will assess whether medication is right for you and that conversation can happen at the first appointment. If your first visit is with a nurse only, you won’t receive a prescription until you’ve also seen a provider. If you’re meeting with a therapist, medication won’t be part of that visit and you’d connect with a prescribing provider separately.
Will I be judged for my choices or my history?
Eleanor’s care team works with people at every stage of recovery and every kind of situation. There is nothing you could share that would change the quality of care you receive or how you’re treated.
You don’t have to have it together to show up. That’s what we’re here for.
Do I have to commit to anything at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a conversation, not a contract. Nothing is decided or locked in on day one. You and your care team will talk through what support might look like for you, and you take it from there at your own pace.
What if I’m not sure I want to stop using completely?
That’s okay and it won’t change the care you receive here. Eleanor is not an abstinence-only program. We don’t require you to commit to quitting before you can get support.
Wherever you are right now is a valid place to start. Your care team will work with you on goals that feel realistic and right for you, not a one-size-fits-all plan.
What happens if I relapse?
Relapse is a common part of recovery, not a reason to lose your care. Eleanor will not discharge you if you relapse.
Your care team will work with you to understand what happened, adjust your support if needed, and help you take the next step forward. Without judgment and without starting over from scratch.
Do I have to come into a clinic, or will someone call me?
Most Eleanor visits are virtual. You join from wherever you are using a secure video link. You won’t need to come into a clinic for your first appointment.
Your confirmation includes your telehealth link, and our team can help you get connected if you run into any issues.
What do I need to have ready for a telehealth visit?
Just a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a quiet-ish place to talk. That’s it. You don’t need to download an app or set up an account ahead of time.
Your telehealth link will be in your confirmation. Just click it when it’s time.
If you can download the Zoom app ahead of time, that’s great! If not, no pressure. We can connect with you as long as you have your link. Download Zoom
What if I’m not sure Eleanor is the right fit for me?
That’s a completely fair thing to wonder. The first appointment is exactly the right place to figure that out together.
You don’t need to be certain before you show up. You just need to show up.
