Helping people with addiction live amazing lives

In 2019, my co-founders, Nzinga Harrison, Srishti Mirchandani, and I launched Eleanor Health with the mission to help people with addiction live amazing lives. It’s been a humbling and inspirational journey so far. The commitment and contributions of our incredibly talented staff, partners, investors, and advisors have enabled us to provide a transformational treatment experience for the people we serve, their loved ones and surrounding communities.

Through a collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBS NC), we opened our first three clinics in Mooresville, High Point, and Durham, and began providing addiction treatment across the state utilizing technology and our field-based teams to extend the reach of our in-person clinics. We learned so much about the needs of our patients, who we refer to as community members, their families, and the communities where they live and work, and are taking these learnings to the 7 additional NC clinic sites we have planned for 2020.  The outpouring of support from political and business leaders, community organizations and neighbors, has been overwhelming and truly inspirational.

We grew our staff to over 45 full and part-time team members, including 27 clinical staff.  By training 8 medical practitioners to practice MAT, we added capacity to serve an additional 800 people in NC struggling with addiction. We serve patients with commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, as well as offer scholarships for patients not covered by any insurance. The excitement and commitment to be part of our mission has been energizing.

We are excited about the year ahead to continue to learn, build an even stronger team, and serve more community members.  Eleanor Health is off to a great start already with the opening of additional clinics in North Carolina, a newly signed agreement bringing Eleanor Health to another state, and more to come. 2020 will be a year where more people will find recovery, purpose, and embark on the path to living amazing lives.
